Awarding Dolphins

Invisible Friend will be appearing (yes, you can see them) at the Dolphin Awards to perform on this gala night of nights.

The Beach Hotel in Byron will be the venue (again) for the 15th annual music industry awards the Dolphin Awards on Tuesday evening, October 10.

The night will be a showcase of musical acts as well as recognising the contributions of people and organisations to the music industry through the bestowing of awards.

Some local musical success stories will perform on the night including Diana Anaid, The Love Bus, The Romaniacs, Invisible Friend and Tarshito.

Last year Invisible Friend took out three awards and this year return to this classy do to perform for the local music industrys glitterati.

We look forward to performing at this years NCEIA Dolphin Awards after last years nods for Male Vocals, Album Production and Funk Song, said the band. (Not all of them at once. They have a frontperson.) The awards have enhanced (our) local and national profile... The awards night is a fun incentive for artists and producers to acknowledge and celebrate the feast of music in the area.

So, if you have an interest in the local music industry, love good music or just want to rub shoulders with the next Coldplay, grab a ticket now from the Beach Hotel Bottleshop in Byron, Music Bizarre in Lismore (6622 3262), or the ABC Centre in Ballina (6686 2436). Tickets are $25.

The Dolphin Awards start at 6pm.
