The Why Not Stand Up comedy open mike gig is on ag

The Why Not Stand Up comedy open mike gig is on again at the Why Not Restaurant in Jonson Street, Byron, next Wednesday, September 27, at 8pm. You can see up and coming comedians strut their stuff in five minute sets under the watchful eye of a professional comedian as MC. The MC for next Wednesday is the fabulously cheeky chick of comedy Fiona McGary from Brisbane.

Fiona has travelled all over Australia doing gigs (most recently with the Puppetry of the Penis show) and recently featured at the Blue Moon Cabaret Ball in Nimbin.

The meal deal is $25 which includes wine, a meal and laughs.

Rosanna has designs on female taboo

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation Riots of Passage in The Quad as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
