Belting art about dad

Have a close look at this table and chairs... Notice anything?

This dining suite is made from hundreds of belts.

This suite is part of an exhibition The King Dines Alone by Chez Baker currently on display at the Next Art Gallery in the Goodman Plaza at SCU in Lismore.

Chez says its a meditation on her relationship with her father.

I have very few mementos of my father, just a moment in time and a conversation or two remembered from childhood, she said. This work represents attempts to negotiate the gaps through repetition and reverie using thousands of discarded mens and womens belts.
