Free fun at Kadina Park

Goonellabah locals Mark and Hayley McPhail, and Lismore City Councils events co-ordinator John Bancroft, are encouraging people to come to the Kadina Park Free Family Fun Day this Sunday.

After five years of hard work by Lismore City Council staff, Work-for-the-Dole teams and volunteers, the finishing touches to Kadina Park are finally complete.

To celebrate, Lismore Council and the Rotary Club of Goonellabah are holding a Free Family Fun Day this Sunday, September 17, to show off the areas transformation from an old truck depot into a beautiful parkland with plenty of playground equipment.

Take the family along and enjoy a Rotary sausage sizzle, jumping castle, bungee trampoline, tug-of- war games, face painting, touch football and PCYC games all absolutely free.

Theres also a toddlers playground and adventure climbing zone, picnic and barbecue facilities, cycle/walking paths and educational murals so kids can play and learn at the same time.

The Free Family Fun Day runs from 10am-2pm with the official opening by Lismore mayor Merv King at 11.30am. Kadina Park is located just opposite Kadina High School on the corner of the Bruxner Highway and Kadina Street.
