Dolphins are up and... swimming?

The North Coast Entertainment Industry Association (NCEIA) has created an organisation specifically to develop the music industry in this area North Coast Music. One of the highlights of the music year is the Dolphins.

The 15th annual Dolphin Awards will be held at the Byron Beach Hotel on October 10. Entries have closed and the number of entries has increased by 20 per cent from last year. 65 judges have been asked to preside over 22 categories.

For the lucky winners there is a wealth of prizes to be had with thousands of dollars of industry prizes up for grabs. In the coming weeks North Coast Music will present showcases of past winners of the Dolphin Awards at venues around the region. Keep watching...

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation  Riots of Passage in The Quad  as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
