Who will be Ballina Idol?

Winners of Ballina Idols heat one (above) are (l-r) Kiwat Kennell (Lismore), Rebecca Hannaford (Ballina), Gary Fox (sponsor and judge), Tracey Reynolds (Lismore), and Jeff Morris (Lismore). The heat two winners are (below, l-r) Sarah Brewster (Hat Head), Skye Wood (Kyogle), Heidi Adams (Lismore) and Paul Hayman (Mermaid Waters). They will all be in the semi-finals series which begins in October.

The first two heats of Ballina Idol have been run and the standard has been exceptional according to judge Gary Fox.

The bar has certainly been raised, with the standard much higher than the past two years, he said.

There are eight heats remaining but many spots in these heats have already been claimed. Any aspiring contestants should register now by phoning Nancy at Happy Daze Productions on 0414 462 513.

Heat three of Ballina Idol will take place at the Ballina RSL Club this Sunday, September 3, from 3-5pm. You can watch the talented action as contestants battle it out for a place in the grand final and a chance at $12,000 in cash and prizes. If youre lucky, you may witness a rising star.
