Community walkway to feature at Anchorage Point

The Ballina community will get riverfront walkways and new parkland as part of a new prestige waterfront housing development being built by Chris Condon in West Ballina.

Ballina Shire Council last week granted approval for the housing estate on the site of a former marina off Burns Point Ferry Road.

He now plans to establish 14 waterfront house lots with seven small jetties. Mr Condon will also build a public walkway along the foreshore and create attractive parkland that the public can access.

The development, dubbed Anchorage Point, did not attracted any objections from the public and has a single storey height limit.

Construction is expected to begin as soon as paperwork is finalised.
