Jedi meets his match

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, a young Jedi Knight named Andy Gough (who also happens to be a graphic artist at The Echo) met an elven princess called Georgie Leech in the land of Billen Cliffs a small planet near Larnook.

On Saturday the loving couple were married in a beautiful sunset ceremony with a tribe of close friends and family. The Echo staff would like to wish Andy and Georgie all the love and happiness in the universe on their intergalatic journey through life together.

May the force be with you both.

Rosanna has designs on female taboo

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation Riots of Passage in The Quad as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
