Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal car accident at Gundurimba last week which claimed the lives of two Goonellabah sisters. The girls were 19-year-old Kayla Warby and her 16-year-old sibling Rebecca. The crash happened at 2.40pm last Friday when the Suzuki Swift being driven by Kayla pulled out of Coraki Road and collided with a Toyota Crown which was travelling west on the Bruxner Highway. A woman travelling with the girls in the front passenger seat was taken to Lismore Base Hospital. The 79-year-old driver of the Toyota and his two passengers, all from Whiporie, were also taken to Lismore Base Hospital. Traffic diversions were in place for two hours.
