Living with cancer program

The Cancer Council is running a five-week program called Living With Cancer Education, beginning on Friday, September 1.

The idea is to bring people together who are dealing with cancer and give them practical tips to reduce the impact of cancer on their lives, said Diana Fisher from the Cancer Council. The course helps people make informed decisions and helps them manage stress and cope better with side effects. We also talk about how to communicate with children, what exercises are beneficial and what food is recommended for cancer patients.

Robyn Porter, a local cancer survivor, added I wish that I had attended a program like this when I was first diagnosed and going through treatment.

To register phone Mel Gregory on 6620 2848 or Sue Hutton on 6620 7664.
