A mans body was found washed up at the southern end of Shelly Beach at Ballina on Tuesday morning. Senior constable Michael Hogan said the body had been taken to Coffs Harbour for identification as it was believed it could be the missing man from a fishing boat mishap near Coffs Harbour 10 days ago. He said the body was in a decomposed state and it appeared it had been in the water for some time.

Casino police are seeking information in relation to an attack on three miniature donkeys on Vidlers Road, Spring Grove, between 6pm Saturday and 1pm Sunday. Police are asking residents to be on the lookout for anyone attempting to sell pool cleaners in the local area. Between 12 noon on Saturday and 8.15am on Monday, offenders stole 10 pool cleaners from a pool shop in the Ballina area. Any information to Ballina Police on 6681 8699.

All four rims and tyres were stolen from a 2006 Commodore utility, which was parked and secured on the Bruxner Highway at Wollongbar. The incident occurred between 4pm Saturday and 9am Sunday. Any information to Ballina Police on 6681 8699.

A 51-year-old man from Jameson Avenue, East Ballina, had his vehicle maliciously damaged between 5pm Saturday night and 10.30am on Sunday whilst it was parked on the street. Information to Ballina Police on 6681 8699.

Five flashing warning lights were stolen and another 10 damaged at roadworks on Naughtons Gap Road, Casino, between 3.30pm Thursday and 10.30am Monday. Any information to Casino Police on 6662 0099.

Police are seeking information in relation to a break and enter on a commercial business in Casino Street, Lismore, around 6am on Monday morning. Three persons were seen in the area at the time. A warning goes out to farmers and users of bulk fuel supplies following the theft of 2200 litres of diesel valued at around $6000 from a rural property on Dalwood Road, Rous Mill, between 4pm last Wednesday and 2.40pm on Thursday. Offenders destroyed security devices fitted to an overhead tank to steal the fuel and a significant amount was spilt on the surrounding farmland.
