Schools interested in getting active

The Australian Sports Commissions Active After-School Communities program is seeking expressions of interest from schools and out of school hours care services wanting to join in 2007. This exciting initiative provides free access for children to get physically active after school.

The program provides free access to a variety of physical activity programs on a weekly basis for one hour throughout each school term. Expressions of interest close on September 1. To find out how you can get involved phone Sharyn Anderson on 6681 4931 or 0428 200 020.

Artist Rosanna Pimm uses 3500 porcelain tampons to created her large scale performance installation  Riots of Passage in The Quad  as part of The Lismore Women's Festival on International Women's Day. Laying down and de-constructing the mandala structure symbolises the impermanence of the menstrual cycle and an end to female inequality in the world.
