Country Virus hits Lismore

Gleny Rae Virus and her Tamworth Playboys (pictured) play sweet swing, Aussie roo-grass and rockabilly roots yep, theyre as country as their hats.

Gleny Rae Virus was one half of the famous Toe Sucking Cowgirls, who added their feminine wiles and raunchy tales to the country music genre, travelling all over this wide, beer-drinkin land.

Now Gleny has brought her cheeky vocals, fiery fiddle playing and genuine country sensibility to her new outfit the Tamworth Playboys.

Gleny and the boys will be playing at the Health and Herb Festival this weekend, August 19-20. (Check the program on pages 24 and 25.)They

will also play the Winsome Hotel this Saturday night, August 19, with local indigenous act Dhinawan Dreaming.

So dust off the dancing shoes, slick back your hair and enjoy.

Cowpokin starts at 7pm. Entry is $5.
