It doesnt matter if you cant sing all that well if you enjoy belting out a tune and are passionate about reconciliation, the Voices Together choir in Lismore would love to have you.

Both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people are invited to a special supper at GunnaWannaBe in South Lismore next Thursday, August 17, where they can mingle with the current members and join up.

We want to get a huge choir together for the 40th anniversary of the referendum that gave Aboriginal people the right to vote, said co-ordinator, Judith Light. We are going to have a huge celebration to mark the occasion in May 2007, and we want to start recruiting new voices and rehearsing now.

The supper begins at 6pm and entry is $5.50.
