Morgan and Tickle laughing it in

Lismore Miyagi Kan Karate students Matthew Tickle and Lauren Morgan have gained selection into the Australian Karate Team to represent Australia in the Oceania Karate Titles in New Caledonia this September.

Matthew and Lauren showed spectacular performance during the recent National Training Squad camps and it was no surprise when they were both selected in the Australia team at the Gold Coast over the weekend.

These students have a very impressive record of achievements. Lauren is the current NSW State champion, NSW Open champion, and current Australian Open champion, while Matthew was runner up at the NSW State Championship, first at the NSW Open and second at the Australian Open Championships.

Matthew and Lauren train at the Miyagi Kan dojo at Lismore City Hall and attribute their success to many hours of training and commitment, and also to the expertise of their sensei Dean Marshall.

Any committed young athletes keen to follow in these young fighters footsteps can phone 0419 690 679, 0413 528 546 or 6622 1754.
