Thom nails the word

Thom the World Poet (from a land where the streets are paved with words) will feature in Lismore next Wednesday.

The Live Poets return to the Rous Hotel in Lismore next Wednesday, August 16, with a very special guest. Thom the World Poet started his poetry career at Nimbins Aquarius Festival back in 73. He survived many years as a street poet in Melbourne before taking on the world, and moving to Austin, Texas.

Thom is a barnstorming performance poet who has published 180 books, but now improvises all his work.

Remember new poets are always welcome. For more info phone David on 6688 6485.

Freebie: The Echo has a double pass to give away to a lucky reader. To go in the draw to win phone 6622 2888 between 10.15 & 10.30am next Monday, August 14, and tell us what current president of a fading superpower was born in Texas. Hint: Someone Howard likes to beat around.
