In the key of Allen

His feet have no shoes, his guitar has no head but Daevid Allen has got it all when it comes to performance. Poet, musician, songwriter.

Daevid Allen, the North Coasts superstar of psychedelia, will perform at the Winsome Hotel in Lismore this Saturday, August 12.

Daevid has made his mark on the international music and cultural scene in a career that spans more than four decades. Highlights include collaboration with William Burroughs, being one of the founding members of Soft Machine, and the originator of the Gong phenomenon which continues to this day.

Before leaving for Europe (via shows in Japan) to perform, Daevid will play a rare musical gig in Lismore.

Also on the bill is songstress Gabi Bliss. And D.R.A.M. (David Ramsey and Matt Elliott) will play dirgy blues, blistering folk and chickenshack romps until late.

Gig starts at 7.30pm and costs $8 (which includes a free drink).
