The Health and Herb Festival next weekend (August 19-20) in Lismore is for the whole community. But there is a special program designed for the younger people. Rockers Brittle FeX, who recently played at Splendour In The Grass, will be punching out the riffs on the Sunday.

The Health and Herb Festival (August 19-20) celebrates life in our neck of the woods healthy lifestyles, gourmet food, natural environments, and a strong community of artists and performers. This year theres a fun run, circus, skate events, hip hop, bands, dance, food and more food, forums, displays and a VW parade. Thats just a taste...

The festival is shaping up with a cool selection of youth entertainment, with co-ordinator Lisa Audus working closely with the Creative Peoples Collective (CPC) to develop a full program around the Lismore Skate Park.

Saturday will be a day for the groovers from 1pm, with hip hop and breakdance performances, live hip hop sets from Mixed Agenda, Seed Philosophy and more local crews and bands, DJing and an open mic session.

If your scene is more hardcore or extreme then dont miss Sunday, August 20, with Brittle FeX playing from 12-1pm following the Jaywalks (winners of the North Coast Battle of the Bands). Brittle FeX will provide entertainment during the Skate & BMX comp, which kicks off at 11am. Entry is free.
