A cyclist was knocked from his bike by an unknown object on Sunday morning while riding at Greenridge, about 10kms south of Casino. The 39-year-old Casino man told police he believed he was struck in the lower back, while riding along the Coraki-Casino Road at about 11.40am, but it is unclear how this occurred. He saw a small red or maroon-coloured sedan similar to a Nissan Pulsar or Ford Telstar continuing north immediately after he was struck. The man smashed his bike helmet and suffered cuts and bruising when he hit the road. He rode the remaining 10kms to the Casino Police Station where he reported the incident before being taken to Casino Hospital for treatment. Any information to Casino Police on 6662 0099.

Lismore Police are investigating the alleged assault of a 47-year-old female taxi driver by a 15-year-old Lismore female. The incident occurred between 11.15pm and 12.10am last Thursday near Heritage Park in Lismore. The victim suffered minor grazes to her arm and knees after she fell to the ground.

Police have arrested a 16-year-old Lismore youth after he allegedly robbed and assaulted two 18-year-old males in Wollongbar between 12.05am and 12.10am on Saturday. The two males were walking along Sneaths Road in Wollongbar after a party when the young offender approached them in a vehicle. He allegedly assaulted the pair and stole their possessions, including a wallet, money and a mobile phone. After the incident the pair continued walking and came across an RBT station where the offender had been stopped. They informed police and the 16-year-old was arrested.

Two vehicles had their tyres slashed in Lennox Head on Saturday night a 1994 Ford Sedan in Ross Street and a 1994 Hyundai in North Creek Road. Any information to Ballina Police on 6681 8699.

A spate of crimes have occurred over the last week with malicious damage to shop windows, motor vehicles and letter boxes plus numerous reports of theft. Incidents include: A letterbox was damaged in Bright Street, East Lismore, between 8.45am and 4.30pm on Monday; malicious damage was caused to property in McDermott Ave, Goonellabah, between 12.30pm and 3.20pm on Monday; damage was caused to a business in Brewster Street, Lismore, between 10pm Friday and 10am Saturday; a red Honda 80cc motorcycle was stolen from a property in Ballina Road, Lismore, between 1pm Saturday and 11pm on Sunday; and a plate glass window was damaged at a business in Kyogle Street, South Lismore, between 2pm Saturday and 8am Monday.
