New book a babys life
Local woman Joanne Hornimans latest book Little Wing continues the story of Emmy, who was pregnant and had such high hopes for the future in Joannes previous book Mahalia. But sometimes life doesnt work out how you think it will or want it to.
Little Wing is about what happens to Emmy when she leaves her baby with the father, Matt, and tries to find her way back to being herself.
Joanne Horniman has worked as an editor, teacher and artist and has written many books for children and teenagers, including Secret Scribbled Notebooks (winner of the 2005 Queensland Premiers Literary Award and shortlisted for the Victorian Premiers and Childrens Book Council Awards). Joanne lives in Lismore centre of the artistic universe.
Little Wing, published by Allen & Unwin, is now available at most bookshops.
