Council computers up for grabs

Lismore Council is getting an IT upgrade worth more than $1 million, which means surplus computers and faxes are generously being given away to not-for-profit groups.

Anyone groups interested need to apply by August 11. Forms are available at Council offices, on the website at www.lismore.nsw.gov.au, or phone the Customer Contact Centre on 6625 0500.

special Christmas in July community day will be held at the Evans Head Community Markets this Sunday, July 22.

Theyll be activities for kids including a jumping castle, a cookie decorating competition, an art competition and healthy snacks, or you can get your photo taken with Santa. Evans Head Community Health will also be showcasing the services it can provide to families in Evans Head, Coraki, Woodburn and Broadwater, with staff on hand to chat with any interested members of the community.

The day runs from 9am-2pm.
