Trinity students hit the stage

Trinity Catholic College drama student Sophia Fryer will be performing at On Stage, a showcase of drama at the Chanel Drama Studio in Lismore.

Trinity Catholic Colleges popular annual student showcase of HSC drama performances, On Stage, is back, and its definitely not just a night for proud parents.

The reason our shows do so well is because we have terrific facilities, we use professional techniques and we have a process that really works, said Trinity drama teacher Peter Derrett. Plus the College has a great reputation that attracts talented students who attend Trinity specifically to do drama.

The On Stage performances are works in progress for the year 12 students and form part of the mark for their HSC in September. The individual monologues and group performances will explore a diverse range of works from Oswald to Stoppard, and Berkoff to Beckett.

Trinity is well known for its highly professional, large scale productions of challenging works such as Under Milkwood and Macbeth.

On Stage will be held at the Chanel Drama Studio in Brunswick Street, Lismore. It will be performed Thursday, Friday and Saturday, July 20-22, at 7pm, with a matinee at 3pm on Saturday, July 22. Tickets are $12 from St Marys site office from next Monday, July 17. Be quick, as it generally sells out.
