The Girls in Byron

These handsome men are The Beautiful Girls. This sexually confused band will play Byron on Sunday.

The Beautiful Girls have a new drummer and in a three-piece that makes a big difference. Bruce Baybrooke bashed the skins for the band when they recently toured America to much acclaim. They have returned to this wide indifferent land to two nominations in the upcoming 2006 APRA Song Awards.

Singer Mat McHughs latest batch of songs will be featured this Sunday, July 9, at the Great Northern Hotel in Byron with the gig being recorded for the creation of a new live album to follow on from the success of their first two albums, Learn Yourself and Weve Already Gone.

Joining the Girls (boys) will be the Sydney duo The Fumes, who will add their dirty rockin blues to the mix. The Fumes have just released their debut album Guns Of Gold.

Tickets are $25 (plus a booking fee) from the venue (6685 6454), from the ABC Shop in Ballina or from Music Bizarre in Lismore.
