Gypsy big band

Claudia Chambers, a maestro of the Cajon (box drum), will show off her talents when she plays with The Romaniacs and flamenco artists this Sunday.

North Coast gypsy group The Romaniacs are getting together with members of Allende (a Gypsy/jazz/flamenco outfit from Brisbane), Yuval Ashkar from Middle Eastern band Camoon and Claudia Chambers an amazing percussionist from Sydney.

Claudia is the catalyst for the gig as shes in the area doing percussion workshops. She studied flamenco percussionfor five years in Spain with some leading flamenco exponents (likePepe Motos who plays with Paco De Lucia).

She then moved to Ireland andtoured with Irish singer/songwriterLuka Bloom and taught at the Irish Drum Academy and Waltons New School of Music.

This special gig is at The Rails in Byron this Sunday, July 9, from 6pm.
