Murphys lore

Like everyone else Cheyenne Murphy was born with two arms. But in his case one of them came with six strings and frets. Check him out in Nimbin this Sunday.

Cheyenne Murphy will be showcasing material from his new EP Return to the Source with his acoustic roots backing band at the Nimbin Hotel this Sunday afternoon, July 2. Cheyenne is a gifted explorer of song and sound. Hailing from Byron, he is a powerful acoustic songwriter with television performances, radio airplay and a host of awards to his credit.

On his CD the songs are the real focus with the production pared right down to acoustic guitars, bass and brushes an acknowledgement of the power of the songs.

You can catch Cheyenne from 1pm at the Nimbin Hotel. Joining him for the Sunday afternoon romp will be acoustic guitar specialist Mark Heazlett and Carl Hemmings (who produced Return to the Source) on brushes. (Drum brushes, not hair)
