Mens premier league

Ballina and East Lismore have started the JH Williams Premier League hockey season with some solid wins and find themselves in the top four at the start of round six. This weekend both sides will be looking for easy victories over lowly placed United and the Redbacks. Easts will welcome United onto Hepburn Park on Saturday at 4.20pm, while Ballina will make the journey to Murwillumbah for their match against the Redbacks.

Meanwhile, both Coraki and Northern Star have started slowly and their match on Hepburn Park at 5.45pm this Saturday is vital for each side if they want to keep their semi final hopes alive. Alstonville get the bye.

Womens premier league

In the womens premier league the traditional powerhouse of Glee will cross sticks with Northern Star at Hepburn Park on Saturday at 1.30pm. The local derby should be a gripping affair with both sides desperate for a win.

East Lismore have started the season with some quality wins and will be keen to continue their good work when they play United at home at 2.55pm, while Ballina will travel to Murwillumbah with the mens side to take on the Redbacks.
