Hopping mad not to care

If you love kangaroos and wallabies, why not become a carer with the Northern Rivers Wildlife Carers and before you know it you could be nursing a joey, like this beautiful little girl called Betty Boo, back to good health.

Betty Boo was found orphaned just two weeks ago and is now in the care of Sally Ann Moyes from Nimbin, who says theres nothing quite like the reward of seeing an animal released healthy and happy back into the wild.

The Northern Rivers Wildlife Carers are inviting people to their 2006 Macropod Training Day next Saturday, June 24, at the Lismore Workers Club from 9.45am to 3pm. The day costs $10, plus a $15 joining fee for new members.

Bookings for the training day are essential. Phone Karin on 6688 0118.
