Get loud for deaf kids

The staff at the Ballina RSL Club will be donning their most gaudy attire next Friday, May 12, for Loud Shirt Day, which raises money for children who are deaf or hearing impaired.

Reggae/Afro band Calabash will be performing free in the Riverside Lounge that night, and patrons are encouraged to dress in bright colours, make a donation and enjoy the music. Ballina RSL have already donated $500 to kick start the fundraising effort.

There will be prizes for best dressed male and female on the night as well as lots of giveaways. The music begins at 8.30pm.
