Richmond Valley plan on show

Richmond Valley Councils draft management plan has gone on public exhibition until June 9. Residents have until then to make submissions on the plan, which includes a 3.6 per cent rate hike and increases in sewerage and waste charges.

Water consumption charges will also be raised, but will be offset by a drop in the water availability charge, which means frugal water users will have a better opportunity to save money by turning off their taps.

Information sessions on the draft management plan will be held at Evans Head and Casino. Stay tuned for dates and venues.
