Golfing girls enjoy life on the green

Lismore Workers Ladies Social Golf Club president Ruth Campbell (centre) presented life memberships to Margaret Riordan (left) and Audrey Wilson earlier this week.

Margaret Riordan and Audrey Wilson both joined the Lismore Workers Ladies Social Golf Club at its inaugural meeting in 1977 and after 28 years they have both been awarded life memberships.

Margaret has served as vice captain and has been on the social committee, and was club captain for 21 years, graciously keeping forgetful or careless players toeing the line.

Audrey has been assistant treasurer, treasurer, vice president and was president for 16 years, as well as being famed for her beautifully decorated cakes.
