Grave fears for missing woman

Police and emergency services hold grave fears for the safety of a woman who vanished from an Easter weekend party at The Channon.

After two days searching bushland with helicopters and on foot, police have still been unable to find any trace of 25-year-old Daneeka Nixon (pictured) from Burleigh Heads. Police will resume their search today (Thursday) but are appealing for information from anyone who may know of her whereabouts.

Ms Nixon was last seen by her friends as she was leaving the party on Sunday evening. They said she appeared to be in a disoriented state. Her car was found still parked at The Channon Road property on Monday morning.

Ms Nixon is described as being of white/European appearance, around 165 to 170cm tall, of medium build, with long straight black hair and hazel eyes.

Anyone will information should phone Lismore Police on 6623 1599 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
