Life on stage... of course

Toni Allayialis checks out the tomatoes and explores her Greek and Croation ancestry in NORPAs next presentation My Of-Course Life coming soon to Lismore.

Following the success of NORPAs first presentation of the year, Page 8, another solo performance My Of-Course Life hits the stage at the Star Court Theatre in Lismore on Friday and Saturday, April 28-29, at 8pm.

This production by JUTE and QPAC and presented by NORPA (its an acronym filled world, eh?) is written by the star of the show, Toni Allayialis. My Of-Course Life is a powerful exploration of her Greek and Croation heritage going back four generations. With the kids screaming and buckets of nappies piling ever higher Alithea (Toni) draws us into her multicultural world.

With humour and songs plus witty and often moving dialogue, Toni and director Maryanne Lynch create a poignancy as palpable as the smell of garlic and tomatoes cooking in wine.

Tickets are $36/30/16 (with discounts for groups) and available from the Northern Rivers Ticket Centre at 93 Molesworth Street, Lismore (6621 5600) or book online at www.norpa.org.au.

Freebie: The Echo has a double pass for Fridays show to give away to some lucky reader. To go in the draw to win phone 6622 2888 between 10.45 & 11am next Tuesday, April 18, and tell us the capital of Croatia. Hint: the first two letters are the first and last letters of the alphabet not necessarily in that order.
