Rhyme time

The Live Poets! returns to the stage at the Rous Hotel in Lismore next Wednesday, April 19 in the aftermath of Bluesfest/crucifixion/chocolate egg celebrations for this crazy little thing called poetry.

This months show is a grab-bag of open and invited readings with new and visiting poets always welcome. The main event of the night will be the popular poetry slam for writers of two-minute poems. The winner takes home the big (for a poet) bucks.

For more info phone David on 6688 6485.

Entry is $6/4. The lyricism starts at 8pm.

Freebie: The Echo has a double pass to give away to this gig. To go in the draw to win phone 6622 2888 between 10.30 & 10.45am next Tuesday, April 18, and tell us if a limmerick, as well as being a type of short poem, is also a) a county in Ireland, b) a type of Irish boat, or c) a disease causing constant twitching of the face.
