Volunteers needed for Bangalow disaster

Volunteers needed for Bangalow disaster

While this area rarely experiences major disasters, if one did occur Bangalow would have a shortage of trained people to deal with victims according to the Red Cross.

Right across the region the Red Cross has been training Personal Support Teams so that in the event of a major disaster people are able to care for those affected.

The Red Cross is looking for people to attend a free training course (with free morning tea and lunch!) on Monday, May 1, at the Bangalow Bowling Club from 9.30am-3.30pm.

Theyre looking for people 18 years or older who are good listeners, practical, and able to stay calm in emergencies. For information or to register phone Lyndall on 6622 3244.
