Band war Lismore Storm

Mutli-award winning Ballina-based band Brittle FeX has entered the Lismore Battle Of The Bands for a shot at the prizes.

Entries have been rolling in for the Lismore Battle Of The Bands, with prizes including tickets to Splendour in the Grass, studio time and cash. On Saturday, April 8, at Lismore PCYC (on the corner of Dawson and Orion streets in Lismore) the battle commences with heats from 1pm and then finals from 5pm. Spectators have free entry until the finals and then it costs $5 to see and hear the musical action. Finals will run to 9pm, with some stand-up comedy and sports theatre between acts.

In 2005 battle entrants Brittle FeX won the MusicOz North Coast Development Award and will be having a video clip made of their latest EP Speak Ya Mind.

Other young bands include Tentative, Kanaka, Hiatus, Piaprism, Interlude and City Limits.
