Feel the Kitchen Heat

Local band Luca will be cooking up a folk storm in The Channon Hall when Asterix Kitchen fires up the entertainment this Saturday.

Asterix Kitchen, who last year presented a series of gigs at the Tatts Hotel in Lismore highlighting local performance talent, is back with its first show of the year. Asterix Kitchen has moved to The Channon Hall where the sweet aroma of musical delights on the boil will fill the valley this Saturday, April 1, from 8pm.

Main course for this first of many performance banquets planned for the year is Luca, a locally based three-piece band that draws inspiration from traditional folk and Gypsy as well as contemporary and popular music. Singer Tara makes you believe that there really are fairies in the forest. (I thought the 1080 had got them.)

New band The Click Beetles will premiere their Afro-Latin, Gypsy-funk styles, which will have you shakin that thang. Food is available at the gig.
