Lion-hearted Libbys final fundraising fling

Libby McMahon (right) and BrasNThings manager Rae Kelly will be modelling fashions and selling tickets this Saturday, March 25, at Lismore Shopping Square for Libbys mega fashion show next Wednesday.

Its been a busy year for Lismore Lions Club Miss Personality entrant, Libby McMahon.

When she isnt learning to salsa dance, studying for her degree, teaching electric organ to children or organising her wedding, shes madly trying to raise money for the Lions Medical Research Foundation and a shot at the Miss Personality Quest state title.

So far Libby has raised around $2500 and is hoping to double that amount when she holds her final fundraiser a mega fashion parade next Wednesday, March 29, at the Lismore Workers Club.

This whole experience has been amazing Ive met so many wonderful people and I feel like Ive really gotten to know my community, Libby said. The last fashion parade was a huge success and this time its bigger and better. Its a great way to see all the new autumn arrivals and at the same time help improve the quality of life of people who are suffering all around the world.

Kicking off at 7pm, the night will include fashions from 10 clothing stores and boutiques from Lismore Shopping Square, plus heaps of prizes.

Tickets are $10 ($5 for kids under 12) pre-purchased from Wombat and Colarado, or $12 at the door. For more information phone Libby on 6628 1365.
