Learning the art

Armisteads in Wyrallah Road in Lismore is expanding from a picture framing service and an art gallery (where local artists can exhibit their works) to provide professional art tutorials for aspiring painters.

Rhonda Baker, the gallerys resident artist, is now offering opportunities to those who would like to learn the basics of oil painting. Rhonda has studied drawing, painting and printmaking at TAFE, has participated in and facilitated many workshops, and has won awards for her artworks. She has had a sparkling artistic career over the last 15 years and now she wants to share those acquired skills.

Id love to share my knowledge and passion for drawing and oils.... including portraiture, landscape and contemporary works, she said.

The classes will remain small with a limit of three per sitting. There are limited spaces available so drop into the gallery or phone 6622 8011 for more info or to book a spot.
