Battle of the youfs

Community Connections North Coast and Lismore City Council are gearing up for a massive Battle of the Bands for this years Youth Week. Open to anyone residing or studying in the Lismore shire between 12 and 20 years of age, this is one Youth Week event thats sure to offer some great entertainment and launch some local stars.

The Creative Peoples Collective (CPC) will coordinate the project. President Zahra Smith, 22, said the project would be an awesome stepping stone for the CPC and is well aligned with the CPCs goals of building a sustainable events scene in the Northern Rivers for young people and by young people.

Due to the huge number of talented young musicians in the region, entrants to the competition will be asked to submit a recording of their track along with their registration by next Friday, March 10. The CPC is offering to assist those without the resources to get a recording of their music either in their studio base or through a mobile recording service.
