International Frocks day
Florence and Filamena Frock (aka Emma Newman and Gabrielle Griffin) are The Frocks Deluxe. They used to be just called The Frocks but the saucy success of their shows and the awe-struck appreciation by their growing legion of frocked fans has given them a specialness which lifts them above the ordinary. So, they added deluxe to their name. As you would...
The Frocks Deluxe will present their show What the Frock do we Know NOW at the Star Court Theatre in Lismore next Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, March 8-10.
Next Wednesday, March 8, being International Womens Day, The Frocks Deluxe have decided that that nights show will be very, very special a fundraiser for the Lismore Womens Health Centre. Those well-rouged girls are just soooo generous. (Like the Lismore Womens Health Centre.)
The show has been revamped under the ruthless and discerning eye of director Kelly Parry (Love Songs for Miserable Bastards) so now those mad, lovely ladies from the 50s deliver even more laughs, more garment, more accessories, and more pathos than ever.
So support the important work that the Lismore Womens Health Centre does for women and treat yourself to an evening with The Frocks Deluxe on International Womens Day. Tickets are $20 and available from the Womens Health Centre (6621 9800) or Caddies Bean Shop in Lismore.
Tickets for the Thursday and Friday shows are $18/15 and available from the Northern Rivers Ticket Centre (6621 5600).
Come dressed in your best frock. Gloves and handbags are de riguer. (Men may prefer a suit.) The show starts at 8pm.
