Hallys breathtaking victory

Cabooltures Michael Hally snatched a last gasp win to steal the CRT Wants Transport NSW Production Sedan Car Title at the Bartercard Lismore Speedway on Saturday night.

It was literally a last gasp for Hally, who collapsed in the winners circle when he climbed from his race car.

The presentation ceremony was delayed as Hally was treated by medical staff for exhaustion and dehydration before climbing the podium to collect his crown.

The 35 lap race took its toll on both drivers and equipment as one by one no less than five race leaders surrendered their lead.

Local drivers Jason Jolley and Greg Worling (second) both led the race at one stage and it wasnt until the last lap that the Queenslander finally pulled ahead.

That was a tough race; I was going to pull out on lap 17, Hally said. Im glad I didnt.
