Ballina rich in physie

Members of the Ballina On Richmond Physical Culture Club carried themselves with great poise at the annual Far North Coast Zone Championships, with seven-year-old Mikayla Williams and nine-year-old Peri Crawford winning their age groups. Overall 11 of the Ballina On Richmond Physical Culture Clubs members qualified for the National Championships, which were held at the State Sports Centre in Homebush recently.

The club gained credibility through their sportsmanship, excellent results and love of physical cultural (better known as physie). The clubs physie classes resume next Wednesday, February 8, at the Alstonville Uniting Church Hall and next Thursday, February 9, at the Ballina Uniting Hall.

Physie is for girls aged four and over and new members are welcome. For further details contact Katy Taylor on 6681 3236.
