Chess set theft

Summerland House With No Steps workers Stephen Laws and Peter Goolding with the giant chess set that is missing pieces after a recent theft.

During the recent spate of vandalism and unruly behaviour around Alstonville, seven chess pieces were stolen from the Summerland House With No Steps giant chess set.

Two of the pieces were found, but had been badly damaged, and were replaced at a cost of $80 each. The other five are still missing.

Anyone with information about the missing pieces should phone the House With No Steps on 6628 0610 or Alstonville Police on 6628 0244.
