POLICE have busted an organised drug network, with links to Sydney and Melbourne, which has been trafficking drugs across southeast Queensland, including in Brisbane's nightclubs.
Operation Juliet Cheshire officially closed, with police revealing the protracted investigation had resulted in the arrest of 89 people on 352 charges, including 40 of drug trafficking.
About $3.5 million of drugs have been seized along with $1 million worth of property.
On Thursday morning, Queensland police executed search warrants on a further eight addresses in Thornlands, Birkdale, Pimpama, Ormeau, Crestmead, Holland Park and Jimboomba.
It came after police from Melbourne and Sydney arrested two men for their alleged involvement in the network.
The two 36-year-old men from Elkinstern in Melbourne and Fairfield in Sydney were both charged with trafficking dangerous drugs and will be extradited to Queensland.
