Brittons swimming in gold

Thirteen-year-old Adam McNamarra and 14-year-old Hannah Britton produced podium finishes at the All Schools Swimming Championships last week in Sydney. As a result both swimmers have a very good chance of qualifing for the Australian Schools Swimming Team to compete at the Pacific School Games in Melbourne in November.

Despite illness Adam came in second in the 50m backstroke, while Hannah came back with six medals from six events gold in the 50m breaststroke, the 200m relay and 50m backstroke, and bronze from her efforts in the 50m and 100m freestyle and the 50m butterfly.

The two swimmers train with the Trinity Lismore Swimming Club, which is the largest swimming club on the Far North Coast.
