Topological music

Since forming in 1997, Topology (pictured) have taken their delicate melodies, string harmonics and hefty rhythmic workouts to audiences all over this wide, dusty land and worked with national and international composers including Philip Glass, Steve Reich and Paul Dresher.

While most at home in a concert hall, theyve also performed in art galleries, clubs, accompanying silent films and even supporting pop groups such as Savage Garden in 10,000 seat arenas.

As finalists in the Australian Music Centre Awards for Best Contribution to Australian Music, theyre a fitting opening act for the Northern Rivers Conservatoriums concert series for 2008.

Topology will play the Star Court Theatre in Lismore next Thursday, June 5, from 8pm.

Tickets are $22/15 and available from the Con in Lismore (6621 2266).

Theyll also play the Byron Community Centre on Friday, June 6.
