Arlo Guthrie was born in New York in 1947, the eldest son of Woody Guthrie and Marjorie Mazia Guthrie. He grew up surrounded by musicians and dancers and gave his first public performance at 13. He quickly became involved in music that was shaping the world the love generation of the 60s.
Over the last four decades, Guthrie has toured the world, playing piano, six and twelve string guitars, harmonica and a dozen other instruments. And Arlo is a natural born storyteller, whose tales and anecdotes will figure prominently in his performance at the Lismore Workers Club on Friday, June 6.
