Heavy showers, a swiftly flowing river, logs and debris did not deter paddlers from this years Paddle For Life from completing their 100km journey down the Richmond River from Lismore to Ballina on Monday. In all 72 paddlers in 47 boats braved the elements to raise money for two local charities; the Summerland Early Intervention Program and Southern Cross LADS.
