First Splendour line-up

Vampire Weekend are pretty relaxed about playing in this years Splendour In The Grass. Smell the roses, boys.

Splendour In The Grass will take over Belongil Fields in Byron on August 2 and 3.

First acts to be signed up are (deep breath) Devo, Wolfmother, Sigur Ros, The Living End, The Presets, Vampire Weekend, Ben Lee, Cold War Kids, The Fratellis, The Wombats, Pnau, Laura Marling, The Vines, Operator Please, Band of Horses, (another breath) The Grates, Tricky, The Panics, Gyroscope, Mstrkrft, Lightspeed Champion, The Brown Birds from Windy Hill, Scribe, The Music, and The Gin Club. (Phew).

Tickets go on sale on Thursday, May 22, from 9am. To buy tickets, go to www.qjump.com.au.

This year the green ticket option will allow punters to neutralise their average carbon emissions over a 48- hour period (not just their travel emissions) that takes in the whole festival. Good.

Tickets are $199 (+BF) for the whole event or $206 (+BF) for a green ticket. A camping ticket is $132 (+BF).
