Norths and Easts vie for second

Workers centre fielder Ben Gaylard irons one out against the Redbirds on Saturday.

Norths As and Easts Redbirds will be vying for outright second during their double header on Friday night and Saturday afternoon. Norths are running hot with the bat after knocking in 29 runs against Brothers last weekend, while Redbirds are smarting from their loss to Workers.

In the other match on Saturday Workers are sure to try out some formerly unused options as they attempt to wipe Brothers away in six innings.

The brethren are rebuilding, in fact theyve gone right back to the drafting stage. A few senior members will be back in the lineup this weekend, to offer their experience to the very youthful side.

Fridays games begin at 6.30pm and Saturdays at 2.45pm.
